Por Adday BeytisrailPara empezar, en Turquía somos muchos los cristianos, tanto ortodoxos, católicos como protestantes. La pregunta es cómo es ser cristiano en nuestro país?. La respuesta tiene aspectos positivos y negativos. La parte positiva es que en general no tenemos problemas, estamos a salvo y el gobierno nos respeta. La parte negativa incluye: no somos, por ejemplo, ciudadanos de primera en nuestro país, los religiosos no reciben salario gubernamental, y el gobierno tampoco provee a las iglesias mantenimiento y restauración de los edificios. Se hacen también diferencias en la ayuda a refugiados cristianos y musulmanes. En esta parte, nuestra vida como cristianos es más dura.
Tenemos muchos templos pero no pueden ni ser usados ni restaurados para celebrar misas en las ciudades. Hay muchos refugiados pero no disponemos de materiales para asistirlos.
Nosotros no disponemos de seminarios en Turquía
Nuestras familias están por todos lados y se han adaptado
al estilo y cultura turca. Esto significa que paso a paso se han insertado en
la cultura islámica turca. A cada minuto tenemos la esperanza de rezar una
oración cristiana unos por otros.
